Social Emotional Learning (SEL)

In response to the pressing need for SEL from school districts, TEAL was updated to incorporate SEL practices across all eight professional development modules.  In addition, TEAL launched a professional development series that also integrates CASEL’s (the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning) Transformative SEL Framework into arts instruction which focuses on both the well being of both adult and student, as well as fostering student voice and leadership.  SEL helps to create educational equity and establish school-family-community partnerships to promote a positive, rigorous, and collaborative learning environment.  

Our mission is to help make evidence-based social and emotional learning an integral part of education from preschool through high school.

Educators are working to encourage the development of social and emotional learning competencies through arts education. 

Arts Education and SEL Framework designed to illuminate the intersection between arts education and social-emotional learning to allow for the intentional application of appropriate teaching and learning strategies of enhancing Arts Education.
